What a friend we have in Jesus

SS, JJ：我的寶貝！


星期天SS應邀參加一位女同學的生日會，爸爸媽媽為此非常高興，因為這位仁慈的女同學去年也曾邀請SS。我們多希望你的同伴會接納你，你能跟他們建立友誼！

媽媽為你準備了精美的生日禮物送給同學，爸爸陪同你參加生日會。經過一年多的鍛鍊，我們期望你今年的社交能力會有點進步。還記得去年你的同學們很歡迎你，也能容忍你的怪行為。可是，讓我們難過的是：生日會上你幾乎做盡一切silly的事！況且同學們也長大了，對你的舉止開始不太接受。盡管你很想參加她們的活動，但礙於能力，而無法參與。

JJ 昨天下午到會所上芭蕾舞課，沒想到來了兩位新同學，你大概覺得意外，不知如何面對，就不高興哭了起來。其他家長對你的反應很有意見，為免影響同學們上課，媽媽只好把你帶走。於是你沿途大發脾氣，幾經辛苦才能把你帶回家。

爸爸媽媽知道對你們兩個來說，社交是極不容易的事。然而在社會上生活，卻又不得不學習與人交往。我們會盡一切的能力照顧你們，可是無法替代朋友的角色――你們能否跟朋輩相處好一直是我們最關切的事，我們只能為此繼續禱告。

孩子，你們將來或許很難交朋友，也許會感到孤單。媽媽只希望你們會知道：無論你們怎樣，主耶穌都會是你們最知心的朋友。

What a friend we have in Jesus,

What a privilege to carry

O what peace we often forfeit,

all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;

Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;

Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge;

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield thee;
thou wilt find a solace there
